You must be a HERI member and visit the library to check out books. No Holds, First Come, First Served

At the HERI library you will find:

• Curriculum (math, history, science, and more) both Teacher’s Manuals & Student Textbooks
• Preschool through High School Materials
• Homeschool Helps
• Readers for All Ages
• Manipulatives
• Lab-Grade Microscopes (for use at library—call first to see if available)

Be sure to bring any overdue library books back to the library— even items you plan on renewing. You may not check out new materials without these items checked back in. Any 2024-25 items not returned or renewed by July 31, 2025 will incur late fees for each month late. 0-25 items checked out = $15 late fee; 26 or more items = $30 late fee, Late fee is doubled every month overdue. Example: Books returned after August 31 but before September 30 owe either a $30 or 60 late fee depending on number of items checked out.

During the library hours of operation, our volunteer librarians (who are also homeschoolers) are available to assist you with any homeschooling, testing, or curriculum questions you may have. They will share from their own experiences– it is not legal advice. You, the parent, are responsible for knowing & following the Florida law on Home Education. If you have a need that does not fit the normal library hours please email HERIjax@yahoo.com and if a volunteer is available, we can set up an appointment.

April 27, 2026 – HERI Testing Days

May 21-23, 2026 – FPEA Conference Days

May 25, 2026–Memorial Day
